C 那里的 how likely 没有问题。错是错在 will be to collide。整个分句是 how likely a particular asteroid or comet will . . . ，那么 will 应该是 asteroid or comet 的动作，而不应该跟着 be to collide。要说 collide，就说 will collide，要说 be，就说 will be on a collision course with earth。没有 be to collide 这样的说法的。
E 你说得对，likelihood 之后就不能用 may。 这个题答案是C. 我选D.
