大家帮忙看看能打几分,有什么地方不足的

Popular events like the football World Cup and other international sporting occasions are essential in easing international tensions and releasing patriotic emotions in a safe way. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
In the global world, popular events are exerting profound impact on modern lives. For instance, people from all the world are amazed by the Football World Cup. And many friends around me are willing to stay up late to watch the games. In the meantime, some individuals claim popular events play an important role in easing international tensions and releasing patriotic emotions. Personally, I favor this opinion.
Convincing arguments can be made that popular events can bring numerous benefits to the whole world. To start with, popular events promote the cultural communications and interactions, thereby easing the misunderstanding and consolidating the friendships. To illustrate, The Beijing Olympic Games gives China the chance to reveal its time-honored culture and clarify the misunderstandings caused by the untrue news and some other broadcasts. Moreover, popular events afford people from different countries the same entertainments and pleasures and thus can promote mutual understandings about the patriotic emotions. In other words, people can well understand others’ emotions and their deviances when they are in the same circumstances.
Admittedly, popular events may carry potential risks. The most serious one is that they may further drive up the tensions. It is not unusual that fighting break up between fans from different countries. For another, it is obvious that the stiff competitions on the hosting privilege contribute to changing the countries’ subtle relationships. Even so,it is worth nothing that most countries have taken immediate steps to combat these risks. For example, in China, public activities and non-profit ads are organized to educate us how to express patriotic emotions in a rational way.
In summary, I would concede that popular events are not without adverse effects. Despite that, the benefits created by them far outweigh the detriments. Overall, I am convinced that we should further support popular events and all the authorities should introduce useful measures to drop down the risks.
