149.如果你选E,那them指什么?them才应该指得是hormones,并且or引导的是一个平行~多么明显的需要in which case,这个which应该指的是neurosecretion  这种情况吧~~~

回复 3# apple_abc 的帖子

134. Among lower-paid workers, union members are less likely than nonunion members to be enrolled in lower-end insurance plans imposing stricter limits on medical services and requiring doctors to see more patients, and spend less time with each.
(C) that impose stricter limits on medical services, require doctors to see more patients, and spend
(D) that impose stricter limits on medical services and require doctors to see more patients, spending

141. The federal rules aimed at protecting human subjects of medical experiments were established to ensure that patients must be warned of potential risks and an independent panel would evaluate the experiment before it was conducted.
(D) will be warned about potential risks and an independent panel would
(E) would be warned of potential risks and that an independent panel would

D 在这里其实没有什么错误,只不过用 would 比用 will 好一些,因为那些 federal rules 是 were established 的。

149. Until Berta and Ernst Scharrer established the concept of neurosecretion in 1928, scientists believed that either cells secreted hormones, which made them endocrine cells and thus part of the endocrine system, or conducted electrical impulses, in which case they were nerve cells and thus part of the nervous system.
(D) cells either secreted hormones, in which case they were
(E) cells either secreted hormones, which made them

从哪里看出来要用in which case呢?

in which case 不是纸袋 hormones,也不是指代 neurosecretion。in which case 指代的是 cells secreted hormones 整个分句。
