I didn’t see the movie cos it’s said in order to adjust to the Chinese’s taste, the script had been adapted into a story between a Chinese guy and a young girl in old BeiJing. It sucks! I didn’t’ like the director either. But my attitude towards her changed a lot after I read a report of an interview of her.0@? urMh
She said when she first read this novel 10 years before, she took this story as a sad romance about a infatuated woman and an unfeeling man. But when she read it 10years later, she found it was a woman with independent spirits------“I love you, but it has nothing to do with you. It’s only my own business.” It demonstrated the extreme affection and self—sacrifice. It’s so damn cool! Someone asked her if she thought this kind of affection was morbid, she didn’t think so. She thought it’s the extreme affection. Anyhow, the woman didn’t hurt anyone, She was complete. I fancy what she said.u2|9R)b B.P

Xu said she took this movie to rethink and purify herself. Cos the affection she wanted to express was something she adored but hardly achieved. So I’m cooler than her. The independent spirits have permeated from my mind into my flesh, till into my blood and bones. I’ve learned to like a person but not trying to have him. That way, I think he would be happy./X znN;F8x}
Anyway, to like him is my own business, it has nothing to do with him. But I would at least let him know. Cos if I don’t, then if I die in the next second, he would never know there’s a girl who have been in love with him. So I hope he could remember what I whispered to his ears when the dawn came. I meant what I said. I know there’s nothing he can do, but I need him to be there….

haven't seen the novel...but have seen the film..i like xujinglei...she works well in it... someone would come in and learn from you who is in difficult that his gf asked him to write a 500 words letter...

I like this movie.....and after this movie, I changed my view toward Xu Jinglei, a beautiful actress....She is definitely something more than a beautiful actress.
Letter from an unknown woman, she represented this movie through the whole spirit of a woman, a unreturnable love for a man during her whole life. We see the difference between man and woman. A woman love a man using her life time, while a man return woman lifelong memories.
