beginning in September, 2008.
The ABET-accredited undergraduate software engineering program was the
first of its kind in the US and currently enrolls 400+ students with)R ST@)a-Nux"s8@L
freshman classes of 80 to 90 students each year. In addition to thex9\$bK5zg-E
baccalaureate degree, the department also offers the Master of Science
in Software Engineering degree, which started in the Fall of 2007.
The department is part of RIT's largest college: The Golisano College of}/y;qm0X
Computing and Information Sciences. The college is housed in a modern
facility equipped with numerous laboratories and smart classrooms. In
addition to the department of software engineering, the college includes_ J$wq}-^ E0Ar0mM
the departments of computer science; information technology; and8I)Grn%W FWj|@
networking, security, and systems administration. Research andoaKMPD9L4}3Z
cooperation among the four departments is possible through the college's
research arm: The Center for Advancing the Study of Cyberinfrastructure
(CASCI). The college offers a variety of undergraduate and masters
programs, as well as a college-level Ph.D. program.
