* q5 n7 X" A. O冠希透過鏡頭首次發言回應事件，神情極沮喪。在2008年2月4日晚上，風波主角陳冠希透過律師行向傳媒派發出一隻錄影光碟，內容是一段預錄短片，陳冠希在一幅灰白色牆前，單人身穿一件沒有扣頸喉鈕的白色間條恤衫正向鏡頭首次發言，神情極沮喪。

P6 E陳冠希在短片中說：「我今天打破沉默，發表這份有關聲明給所有傳媒，以及正在看這段影像的人，最近有一批相片放在網上流傳傷害了許多人，不但是有關的受害者，還有我們整個社會。事件第一天發生後，我已將此事交由警方處理，並一直協助他們；由於案件仍在調查中，我不能對此事作任何評論。很多人已因為這次可恥的刑事行為而受到影響，所帶來的痛苦、傷害及沮喪，我現趁此機會，藉著這段特別的錄像片段，向所有受害人道歉，我亦希望所有人能幫助事件中的受害者，如果你也曾下載這些相片，請不要再傳給其他人。如果你仍擁有這些相片，我強烈請求你立刻毀滅它，這有助他們從傷痛中走出來。我請求你們幫助這些受害人，不要令情況繼續壞下去。」
