According to the IUCN (World Conversation Union), spices in the world were and are disappearing at an incredible speed -- at least 1000 times than we used to believe. Although most effort that people try to preserve the endangered spices seem to be weak and invalid, it is valuable to keep the laws, policies and the consciousness to protect the spices of those mean great significance to human beings and the nature world. However, It's not possible and realistic for us to protect every endangered spicies at "extrodinary" cost, so we just commit the best actions that we are capable of.
Admittedly, in the every period of history of the earth, there are always certain spices were disappering, fast and slow, inevitably and accidentally. Let's take the dinosaur for example. They were and believe to be the most incredible gigantism in the earth and disappered suddenly, according to several graphic and climate evidences provided by the paleontologists. They may be annihilated by the meteorolites which once crashed the earth or just simply by their inadaptable to the frequenty changing climate. Anyway, the dinosaur has an extict of "Natural Selection".
However, after the entering of human being, the pace of extinction of spices quickened undoubtedly. Hunting, cultivation activity and plunder of the nature resources do break the balance of the natural conservation. Especially, with the industrialization of the human society, the human beings received a period of golden times, yet it is the ominous sign to the nature original creatures. Million of hundreds of animals and vegetation die of the waste water, air pollution and the destoy of their living land. Undeniablly, human is accelerating the speed of spicies extinction.
Some people claim that we human are standing on the top of the creatures, so we have the right to ignore the extinction of spices, considering it seems not damage the exsitense of human itself. This kind of views is irresponsible and short-sighted. That we live in the top of the food chain actually means we are the most vulnerable role in the nature. One-way demand seems to be profitable to humans, but unfair and destructive to the nature. We will finally take the entire Nemesis of every extinction of spices, though not immediatly. Many spices are helpful and profitable to humans -- they provide the food, clothes and the raw material for the production. Some spicies which seem to be "nothing" to people however actually mean "something" to the natural diversity and the balance of the world material and energy cycling ecosystem. Their disappearance not only theaten the habitat of the creatures in the world, but also the human beings themselves.
Regrettablely, humans wake up not enough immediately. We just start to take the actions when the nature actually had damaged seriously which makes the protective effort made by human seem to be invalid. Unfortunately, the actions will not work functionally after one year or even one century just like the way we injures the nature once at a bite which implies that he speed of the spicies extinction rarely decreases. But as long as we keep on working, the effect will embody into result. In this aspect, the actions that tries to protect the endangered spicies and to enable a sustainable environment are valuable and worthful.
Certainly, the measurement we take will not theaten the exsitence of the humans. It's recommended to preserve the endangered spices under a global agreement and strategy. International cooperation and contribution are believed to lead the most valuable action.
In conclusion, there IS justification to save the endangered spices at human's best ability -- even at the cost of money and jobs, guaranted not theatening the exsitence of the humans themselves.
