Television has become one of the most important facilities in human’s life.The invention of the television has accelerated the speed of evolution of the human race. While at the same time, books still remains the origin which involves printing and paper making. But compare to the television, which is far more efficient to convey information, books are not longer useful to help people learn.

Television can provide audience with image and sound, which are far more vivid for people to get involved and understand the knowledge（situation） in the programmes. People can easily reproduce the real situation in their mind which showed on the television without much abstract thinking. Thus, the kids which are no longer able to form a image in their mind can receive the knowledge and information without difficulty（用词单一， 没达到同义的效果，期待改进）. Despite that, televison do not require people, not matter old or young, to have a basic education background which provide them the ability to understand every word in the book. My grandmother is a illiterate, she didn’t have a chance to receive education, but there aren’t any difficulty for her to know the events happened in every corner of the world because what she need is to hear the sound and see the images in the programmes.
Moreover, the news and materials showed on TV are new and always keep up with the modern society. People can get to know the very lately news without any delay throught watching the screen of the television.Take the development of the cellphone for example, iPhone is one of the most perfect model of the cellphone contemparory which involves a lot of most advance technologies. The super large screen and the ability of showing movies and playing musics are much beyond the ability of people’s imagination. But people get to know about it just at the same time that iPhone has been launched. While at the same time, most books in the area of cellphone are still appreciating the newly developed colour sceen cellphones! This is a very fiecing contrast!
In conclusion, while books are called the “stepping stone of the development of the human race” in the past hundreds of years, the limitation of reality and the lacked behind information have make its position triggered by televison which is main resources people learned more from.（注意点题， 你写得太随意）

Ideas, concepts and facts are the three main elements which students have to comprehend if they want to learn something. Ideas are more flexible while concepts and facts are stringent and cannot be changed.It is difficult to decide which element is more important, but as for me , to learn the ideas is the only way to understand the true meaning of a knowledge and thus is far more essential to learn.
One reason is that to learn ideas are the only way to comprehend and use the knowledge one is going to receive. Teachers are always teaching students about a concept of a theory or giving a formula without giving the process of proving it. Students under this kind of education can only be the expert of rememebering every stringent concept and formula while at the same time, they donnot know the meaning of the concept thus cannot use them to solve the real problems. What contribute to this, is that students do not understand the ideas conceding behind the theory and facts. Another reason is that, ideas are the bridge which links the concepts and the facts. The famous inventor Thomas Edison had tried about 1000 kinds of different matters before getting the adquate material to make the filament of the light bulb. Despite the braveness and intellecgence of him , the idea that the concept to pass electricity through a specific type of material will lead to heat and light is true and should be proved out by experiment .And this is the only stimula which leads him to success.
In conclusion, to understand the ideas is more important than understand concepts and facts because to know the ideas is the premise of the use of concepts and also the link which connects the facts and the concepts.（点睛之笔）

The world is changing rapidly.The invention of computer and other modern mechines have bring human from the age of mechanic to the era of information. Compared to 50 years ago, our lives are much better than our grandparents when they are young.
First of all, the development of agricultural have provide us much more sufficient and nutrint food to eat. There aren’t any problems for people to change vegetables in their dishes everyday because a roughly small space can grow tons of vegetables that beyond people’s imagination. Meat and chicken legs are not longer a symbol of the festival which are very common in the time of our grandparents. They always told me that when they were young, they won’t afford to buy a pound of meat unless they had saved for a long time.
Moreover, the evolution of transportation have lead people all over the world closer. It is very easy to catch a airplane to Seatle in only one night while compare to past, it will cost a whole month! My grandfather have once a sodier in the Anti-Japanese War, he had been sent to Vietnam to beat Japnese which cost them 3 weeks to move from Shanghai to Vietnam! Now he lived in Los Angles, thousands of miles from China, but dued to the use of airplane he could come back to see us when ever he like.
Last but not the least, the computer have changed the way people got information. People can easily know the news in every corner of the world almost at the same time as it break out. Despite that, normal people can get the assess to the numrous materials on the internet with only a search engine! This often disturb my grandpa, who is illiterate, all she know are from the radio and televison, she never understand why there so much things in this small bang of box that I can get the things needed without a second!

Book is a kind of mental source which have provided nutrient to millions of great people in the past. To look deeply into the books and learn more（有问题）, it is often necessary to read more than one time, and often, you will find it much more interesting compare to the first time!
First of all, many satire books need readers to think and see through all the myths author had set. The tones of the book may have been buried so deep that it’s hard to get the really meaning under a normal sentence. Tom Sawyer, a simple adventure of a high self-esteem child（有语法问题）, will be a roughly plain story if one cannot understand the meaning underlying the normal tone of the speeches. But this can be totally different if one read the book again and again!
Despite that, many books need readers to refer to the historical events or the social backgrounds. If reader is not familier with the background of the book in the first time of reading, he may get lost and feel strange about the high reputation of a certain book. Take Uncle Tom’s Cabin for example, the story between a white child and a black slave may be tough and boring if a reader do not familiar with the social background before the Civil War which was followed the publication of the book. Reader will never reach the essentials of the book without reading it a second time after knowing the backgounds!
Just as Gorki said, book is the stepping stone of the development of human kind. Not one can deny the contribution of books in the human history. Thus it is very important for us to absorb more nutrition from books and thus require people to read more time of a book. Read more ,then you will understand more.
