Dates for Fall, Spring & Summer Semester Application ( b. x/ l3 ]+ e: h* r. n4 s7 M( m
Fall semester begins the academic year. Although the Graduate School accepts applications in certain departments until July 15 (for all foreign applicants the deadline is April 1), most places are filled in April and May, and most departments have earlier deadlines. If you wish to be considered for financial aid awards, so indicate on the application form. In order to consider you for financial aid we must receive your complete application before December 3. To determine application deadlines for individual disciplines, please consult with the specific department and/or their websites. ; w2 k3 w0 r* Z7 @9 J# v, \
The deadline for spring semester applications is November 1, and for the summer session it is April 1. Since many disciplines have sequences of courses beginning in the fall semester, some departments admit for fall semester only: see the requirements in the Departmental Program and Non-Degree Program section.

3. Academic credits, undergraduate or graduate, earned more than ten calendar years before the date of application for admission will ordinarily be considered no longer valid, and therefore will not form a basis for admission to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
