[size=4]According to the statement, what the speaker asserts is that technology create more problems than it solves ,and may threaten or damage the quality of life. I am agree with insofar as that the technology has indeed create problem ,however ,I am strongly maintain that rather than damage the quality of lives, the benefit brought by technology has do more good to the human beings.
To begin with ,as the byproducts of technology development, violence, war ,pollution and so on has caused chaos in the society .In one sense ,the nuclear weapon ,which is regarded as the most dangerous one due to that thousands of innocent citizens are killed in the war ,is seriously threatening the human lives .In another sense, environmental problems alert human beings to protect what their living rely on or they will suffer from what they commit by themselves. The water pollution, deforestation , desertification ,as well as the extinction of specious animals have disturb the balance of ecology more or less, which is to say ,as the members of the environment ,human are or will be losing what they need most. And this are considered as the dilemma.
Admittedly, while we are confronted with the serious problems born with the technology, few of us will disagree that the condition of all human beings has improved a lot than before. The invention of computer and Internet alter the human lives dramatically. With the came of Internet, people may have the most available access to the latest information and knowledge without stepping out of one's room. and they also can get touch with the people regardless the limitation of time and space. Repetitive works can be assigned to computers to save much time for concentrating on more meaningful tasks. In terms of the conveniences that the new technology spawns, which human being should attach more acknowledgements to rather than blindly blame
Further more, the technology resolves many problems that confused the scientists and threatened the human beings lives .The cure of lethal disease may serve as good example to illustrate the point of view. Due to the poor condition of medical and lack of advanced technology to research ,people suffer from a high rate of death of disease at early ages in the past,. However, thanks to the technology, it is capable for human to take a deep research on of diseases and have help human from suffering. Thus, the problems that the technology solves should be of paramount importance for human livings.
In the final analysis, both the merit and defect that the technology leads to should be fully realized ,which require the human beings should take more steps to improve the technology as to serve the need of the human beings.
